General Council
NEC:
National Executive Council

The President is the head of the National Executive Council (5 people). It consists of the President, the Vice President, the Secretary General and two additional members. One of the additional officers is in charge of the Building and Development.  For one to be the president, he needs to have a gift of an Apostle. Their main duties include; decision making, spiritual guidance, discipline, etc.

The NEC is elected out of another national committee known as the General Council. This committee is like a parliament of the church. It consists of all ordained and part time pastors.

Evangelists and other leaders are sometimes summoned to attend the General Council meeting. Their duties include; decision making, policy making and implementation, spiritual guidance, discipline, etc.  Every resolutions made in the church has to pass through the general council.

The whole church is divided into geographical Regions. Constitutionally, a region can be formed with not less than three districts. Each Region is headed by a senior pastor known as the chairman. It also has its own administration. So far the all church has got about 8 Regions. The main duties of the regions are to act as a link between the districts and the National office. They are in charge of the administrative aspect of the district.

In order to run the all church effectively, the work has been divided into smaller units called Districts. Constitutionally, a district is formed with not less than three branches. Each District is headed by an ordained or part time pastor. In the Apostolic church Southern Africa there are about 35 Districts. There are few incidences where Evangelists or an overseer leads the district. In such cases, such a person is under probation for a period of 3 years before the ordination to become the district pastor takes place. Under each district are branches. These branches are headed by district evangelists, overseers, elders or deacons.  The role of both the district and the branch is to run day to day administrative

This committee consists of senior leaders of the church. Its main duty is to look at the welfare of the pastors and all the transfers are done by them.
